I've noticed many on this board really enjoy Legacy 5! We've got scads of posters with L5 in their name, and many who would list them as one of their favorites. I enjoy them because of their songs and because every one of their members has something special about them: -Frank Seamans: great personality -Scott Fowler: what a crack-up!! -Scott Howard: a lower, favorite baritone -Glenn Dustin: likeable, funny, and a real bass! -Roger Bennett: needs no explanation! If you want to brag on, or discuss L5 and recent news concerning them, or just want to chat about them, here's a good place to do it! P.S. Mod, if there's a problem with this, please inform me!

They are one of my favorite groups , in my top 10, maybe even top 5. I have seen them with Josh Cobb, with Tony Jarman, and with Frank Seamans, i loved all of them, plus the regular guys, Roger, Scott F. Scott H, and Glen D. I have all of their CDs.

This is a really great bunch of guys -- and I'll get to see them tonight! This group is one of my top favorites. On the new album - Live in Music City - I particularly like Frank Seamans on "Peace (When I Leave It In Your Hands)" and Glenn Dustin on "I've Been Changed." What testimonies they have!!!!

ORIGINAL: L5FanLady I love to listen to Roger Bennett. Just being able to hear his voice, whether singing or emceeing, serves as a reminder that God has allowed him to be with us that much longer!! I am thanful to Jesus for such grace He has extended to him!! Not to mention, Roger's voice is just cute (can't think of a better word right now) to me!! I like the way he pronounces words, and his cute little southern accent is just adorable!! I know, a little bit strange, but it's because I love him!! He's my favorite L5 member!! Thanks, youngartist, for starting this thread. I know L5Ropeholder will like it when he logs in next!! And while he'll often sing in a lead singer range, he sings it with a tenor's voice quality. (He often does actually sing tenor, too! Take "Joy" or "Don't Be Afraid.")

When my sweet Daddy passed away, I was struggling to keep my head above the water and a friend invited me to go hear Legacy 5 and from that night on I was hooked on Southern Gospel Music! I bought cds that night and began to listen to Legacy 5 sing. It has been a battle with depression, but Legacy 5 has continued to sing and I am so thankful for their talents, their humor and the ability to minister. Roger Bennett has done more for the ministery during his illness than many of the preachers. God has surely used him during the past 11 years. After being at a concert, it is like leaving a revival, body and soul are soothed and my deep, sincere and humble appreciation for all of Legacy 5. Long sing Legacy 5!!!

But he's still cute, anyway!

You know, I'd love to hear Legacy Five's sound with (just) Roger on tenor. He's the best tenor vocalist they have had yet. Of course, this Cathedrals fan might be biased. If at some point they're looking for a tenor and his health is at a place where he can be on the road all the time, maybe he could talk Scott into hiring him to be a full-time tenor and hiring Stewart Varnado to fill the piano bench except when Roger comes over for a solo or a featured song.

Frank Seamans is definitely a talented tenor...nice voice, okay range, and handsome as well! Maybe one day I'll see L5 in person....

What a joy to see a thread about my all time favorite group L5 as I have just transitioned from lurker to participant . I have followed L5 since their first concert. They not only are talented but they are amazingly genuine. I pray that Roger's third transplant will be a total success. Let's all keep him and L5 in our prayers.

Just got home from a Legacy Five concert and it was great!!! All of the guys were terrific tonight and both of my favorites from the new CD were sung - Frank Seamans on Peace (When I Leave It In Your Hands) and Glenn Dustin on I've Been Changed. They sang a lot of the new songs, several old songs, and several with keyboard accompaniment only. Roger loves that -- he says that the translation of a cappella (he says aca - pella) is "of the - devil." Roger seemed to be doing pretty well tonight. His singing voice during the program seemed pretty strong but his speaking voice was a little shaky. He said he is very encouraged by what the doctors are telling him about the next bone marrow transplant. He didn't "meet and greet" fans before or after the concert - I was just really surprised that he's traveling at all.
