From this thread I'd say the next single for KHQ should be "What We Needed."

Hope it isn't too late, but I'm throwing in my two cents on the Kingdom Heirs' True To The Call:

  1. Since Jesus Moved In ***
  2. The Rock's Between The Hard Place And You ****
  3. True To The Call ***
  4. I Am The Way *****
  5. I Want You To Know *****
  6. Jesus Made A Believer Out Of You ***
  7. Looking Out For You ****
  8. Praying Your Troubles Away ****
  9. Lord Your Word Is Still True **
  10. What We Needed *****
  11. I Sing Because ****

1. Since Jesus Moved In ***
2. The Rock's Between The Hard Place And You ***
3. True To The Call ***
4. I Am The Way ****
5. I Want You To Know *****
6. Jesus Made A Believer Out Of You **
7. Looking Out For You ****
8. Praying Your Troubles Away ***
9. Lord Your Word Is Still True ****
10. What We Needed ****
11. I Sing Because ***** I've always liked this song!

I'm amazed you gave "What we Needed" only four stars! There's no objective way to define musical taste, is there?

Another song worthy of mention is "Looking Out For You." I love this song. Starring Bill Hodges, it reminds us that God is always looking out for us even in the bad times.

I love that song. Maybe slightly more than "What We Needed"

I'll try to do my summery of True to the Call a little later on this evening. I've basically got the figures done, I'm just giving everybody a chance to get their ratings in.

The Kingdom Heirs' True to the Call was rated by twelve people and I think some may be surprised by some of the results

1. Since Jesus Moved In (3.33 stars)
2. The Rock's Between the Hard Place and You (4.42 stars)
3. True to the Call (3.42 stars)
4. I Am the Way (4.33 stars)
5. I Want You to Know (4.83 stars) (most popular)
6. Jesus Made a Believer Out of Me (3.17 stars) (least popular)
7. Looking Out For You (4.17 stars)
8. Praying Your Troubles Away (3.50 stars)
9. Lord Your Word is Still True (3.58 stars)
10. What We Needed (4.67 stars)
11. I Sing Because (4.75 stars)

I figured "What We Needed" would easily be the most popular song on this project, but it wound up coming in third which was a shocker to me.

The highest star count was 48 total stars (average of 4.36 stars) by me (surprise, surprise ) followed by youngartist, danielmount and DrivenqtFan with 46 total stars (4.18 stars). The lowest was 40 total stars (3.64 stars) by Dinana.

The overall average was 4.02 stars.

Fascinating, and thanks for the summary, LRBB!

We'll start our third project (MTT's latest) this morning.

Even Thomas Couldn't Doubt It ***** (best song on the album, IMO)
Won't It Be Wonderful There **** (beautiful music, but the song never quite gets going, IMO)
Moving The Hand Of God ****
Once Upon A Cross **** (it wouldn't get 4 stars without its powerful live performance)
However I Go ****
I Still Believe ***
Let Me Bring Your Children Home ***
Weary At The Well **
You Can't Hold Back The Flood **
Heaven Can't Be Far Away **

Overall, good album. I actually like the custom "Journey Thus Far" better though. They need more songs like "Walking With Jesus" and should've had more creative tracks like the whistles/flutes on "Won't It Be Wonderful There" from "Once Upon A Cross."

Fascinating. I've thought of that as quite possibly the best song I discovered this year!

Well it never went far on the charts. I don't know, it never really grabbed me until I heard it live. Maybe it's too slow. Maybe the theme has been done sufficiently before. I don't know.

Even Thomas Couldn't Doubt It ****
Won't It Be Wonderful There **** (Great song from Chris Allman)
Moving The Hand Of God **** (Classic Kyla Rowland sound on this song)
Once Upon A Cross **** (I agree with Tyler on this song. I was disappointed with it, especially after all of the hype before I actually heard it. This song is much better live and I suppose you would be really biased if you heard the live version before hearing it on the recording.)
However I Go *****
I Still Believe ****
Let Me Bring Your Children Home ****
Weary At The Well **
You Can't Hold Back The Flood ***
Heaven Can't Be Far Away ** (I was so disappointed with this song. I know that Steve Hurst wrote it, but the performance of this song is not even in the same category as Greater Vision's version.)

I guess really biased is the right word! I was front row, center one of the first times they sang the song!

Yea, I could see how that would ignite a "Once Upon A Cross" fire! Mark sold that song at NQC this year!

It just makes me wish he'd been able to sing it on the main stage last year. Then it would have done better in the Song of the Year polls.

I honestly think of it as a song along the lines of "We Shall See Jesus"--an awe-inspiring sight to behold (under the right singer) live, but the sort of thing that just doesn't cut it in the studio.

You know what? I have a feeling if MTT would've recorded a live version of "Once Upon A Cross" and sent it to radio it would've hit the Top 10 - at least. What do you guys think?

I agree. It's one of "those" songs. (Another is L5's "I Have Been Changed.")
