I lost hair for the first 3 months after having Hunter and I thought it would never stop. Purejoy, at my 6 week post pardum check up I was dreading the pelvic exam. But, to my surprise it was the easiest exam I had up to that point and did not hurt one bit. All my other yearly exams had prior were very uncomfortable with me tensing up, just horrible. But, that exam and my yearly early this year were a breeze and they are not an issue anymore. I agree with Donna! I will go every year for my yearly appointment regardless of what the guidelines suggest. I owe it to my family and to myself to take every precaution necessary to remain healthy. I dread going just because who wants to sit naked in a paper gown and have someone you don't know well examining you...NO ONE! But, when the time comes for hubby to begin the fun little yearly visits men have he will have no excuse because I do mine.

Re: hair loss ... mine falls out for a good 18 months after having a child. (I'm usually pregnant again right around that 18 month mark). Nine months later it starts falling out again. And regarding PP bleeding, this time around was my shortest ever, it was just shy of 2 weeks of the heavier stuff, then a week of light, then a week of spotting. With my others, it could go 16 weeks or more of HEAVY (to the point of going to the ER for meds to slow it down so I wouldn't require transfusion)

I don't mind paps, really I don't. After having a baby, man, paps are a breeze. It's just that, well, they cost money. But we have insurance so, it's not a big deal.
