..... I agree with nevaehs_gaze, this IS a wonderful idea!
I'm the kind of person who needs to be reminded... and letters, cards, journaling... it's all important.
Kinda like God - sometimes our feelings make us feel like we do not deserve His grace.... and all we have to do is pick up the Bible and remind ourselves that we are beautiful to Him.
Melting moment this morning: "I wish I could get you a pickup truck... they are much safer than that little car you drive." 
I  trucks! 
Reading your guys' melting moments is sooo.....
melty! What great guys we have!

I have been feeling really guilty for putting "the plumbing" on here. That answer could be taken in so many ways, but here's the story:
When I was widowed, and all that stuff was up to me, I learned to be a plumber, electrician, auto mechanic, etc. by the seat of my pants. Fortunately, I grew up in the home of a carpenter who could do anything he decided to do, so I learned much from him.
So when the plumbing goes bad, and my husband wouldn't think of having me take care of it, I am so grateful. When my toilet broke when we had guests, he took care of it. When the camper's holding tanks need to be emptied, he does it.
Furthermore, we are at the age such that when we come home from work, I fix dinner, and we eat then relax the rest of the evening, tired. I often am asleep by 9 pm.
Therefore, it was so hard for me to say last Saturday, "Honey, there's a leak in the kitchen sink." He didn't do it on Saturday because it was Sabbath, so that was no problem. There are, after all, two sinks and two drains. He did it Sunday, and it was almost perfect with his first try. and I know how he HATES plumbing: as much as I do!
But he did it! Bless him!

Please do, the note was put there in the morning after I had gone to work. Once when he was going to be overseas for awhile, I found little notes all over my home. It took me a few days to find them all.
When I used to pack him a lunch, I'd occassionally slip a surprise into his lunch cooler.

Abyah,
I didn't think anything of your posting "plumbing," although it was nice to read the rest. I thought about how it doesn't have to be something romantic to make us melt. Sometimes the everyday things say "I love you," too.

A few months ago when I was pregnant my husband (an atheist) told me that he wouldn't allow me to take our baby to church.
Last night he told me that he hopes that she gets into church as much as I am. He said something about her being safe. I don't know what he meant and I didn't ask...
But I think it's really really sweet that he'll let me take her to church and that he'll support my efforts even though he doesn't believe in my God.

I needed to shop early on Black Friday, so we set the alarm for 4:30 am. I woke up with a headache and feeling awful. DH got up and stood in line to get the Wii for our kids. He also finished all the other smaller things on the list. I only have to shop for him now.

I'm going through some "stuff." I decided on Sunday to tell him, so that he would be prepared for me being a crab, and he was so sweet about it.
When I go through really heavy stuff, I write poems and prose, and do art, to work out my feelings. So last night, I read some of my poems to him -- the funny ones, not the angry ones -- and he laughed with me. It was so nice. My healing often comes through laughter, so I feel better today.

My husband and i decided we were not going to be doing christmas gifts for anyone this year. But I did ask him if I could get a gift for my pastor who is a dear friend of mine. He said I could! Being an atheist he isn't too keen on christians in general or doing nice things for them so it really shocked me. Then, the sweetest part was that he asked if his name could be included on the card so that the gift would be from both of us. :)

It is cold and snowing here and the roads are dreadful. I just came home from working all day and dh has chicken and potatoes in the crockpot. The house smells wonderful. I just sent him a thank you text. He will be home in an hour or so. I can't wait!

Awww that was nice of him. What my husband done for me gave me a wonderful massage which I been desperately needed. He gives the best massages!

My hubby is frugal and a bad cook. I was lamenting all I need to get done before everyone comes over on Christmas Eve. The baking, gift wrapping, cleaning of the house, etc. I was asking what part he could do with his work schedule and what we would assign to the kids. He said "Why do we get take - out food for the 2 days before hand. No preparing of meals and no cleaning up of a lot of dishes." I just love that man!

I must say I've really enjoyed reading all the positivity about marriage so I'll add one.
Today when my husband got home from work he came and found me doing laundry, without saying a word he planted a big "naughty" kiss on me, when I asked what that was for he said just because I love you.

.... my husband took care of dinner last night. He went and got the most yummiest bbq stuffed baked potatoes I've ever eaten!!! :D
