Any of my fellow Walgreen-ers doing the Almay deal this week?

For those who don't know, Almay "one coat" mascara is ringing up BOGO at some stores, and there is a $4 off Wag's IVC(instant value coupon) that takes $4 off each item, which makes them free.

There is also an unadvertised register rewards deal on the Almay Pure Blends makeup. The $9.99 foundation is printing a $10 rr, and the mascara is printing a $5 one. When i bought these last night the Pure Blends mascara came up BOGO, so I only really paid for the foundation, which makes this deal a $5 money maker.

Thanks for the tip! I just got a bunch of RRs so I needed to hit Wags soon. I do love free mascara!

I got the best deal that you will ever get anywhere today!

I have to buy my clothes in the girls dept. I'm 55 but I am 4'6" and 93 lbs. so that's what fits me. Anywhere, we were at JC Penny today and boy were they having a sale. I got a pair of Arizona jeans that look like another pair that I have. They are off white and feel like brushed denim. I am going to decorate them. Cost? $24.99. What I paid for them? 97 cents! You heard me! 97 cents! Can you believe it? I love deals like that!

I used my Noodles and Company birthday coupon today for my FREE dinner Yummy, and right in my budget!
Tommorow, my FREE burger at Red Robin for lunch. FREE ice cream from Cold Stone in the afternoon. FREE dessert shooter at Applebee's with dinner
Haven't decided on FREE cookies from Quiznos, and FREE ice cream from Baskin Robbins, and FREE dessert from On The Border yet.
Goodness, guess I'm going to have to visit the exercise thread a LOT more now to make up for all these FREE yummies 'ha?
I LOVE coupons

Not directly a coupon thing but the other day I bought 4 cartons of Edy's (aka Dreyers) ice cream that was BOGO. I got a cash register coupon to download 10 songs for free from their website. I was able to download essentially a whole CD from my favorite Christian singer.

That's a good deal, Zoe!

Last week I did the Mega Sale for Kroger(or King Soopers in our area). I spent about $24 and saved almost $200. Ended up with a TON of baking stuff and snack foods. Can't beat Cheezits for $.24 a box!

This week the hot deals are at Walgreen's. Kleenex for $.09 a box, free diabetes meters that give you $5rr, and $.99 No Sugar Added Cranberry juice. I should have $60+ in rr by the end of the week and I'm going to use them for Black Friday deals and stocking stuffers.

Thanks, again, for the mascara tip. I bought 20 for stocking stuffers. Of course, I had to share the deal and now people are popping up from all over the place to buy them from me.

Yesterday, I got an awesome deal on canned vegetables (fruit). I bought 40 cans of peas, green beans, potatoes, corn and tomatoes for $11.

I'm still making the plan for this week.

I'm just starting to get in the habit of using coupons -- thanks to some good advice here at CW. I'm still a newbie though and trying to figure everything out... you all have managed to get some great buys!

What coupons are you using for the kleenex? I only have .50/3. Thanks!

It's in the November "healthy savings" book that advertises $160 in savings. It's for $1/1 box of 85ct tissues. I could only find the booklet in ONE of our plethora of stores. If you need one I can drop it in the mail for you tomorrow and maybe you'll get it by Saturday.

ETA- You could stack the $.50/3 coupon with the in store coupon. You would just need to give it first and have a filler.

Well that's sweet of you to offer. I wouldn't be able to go to the store Saturday though, or Friday for that matter. But thanks, truly.

Yeah buddy! Good find.

(Ryanne, I haven't used any IVC's at WG's since they ended the rebate program - they do still take off multiple times don't they? Thanks!)

Yup, they still come off multiple times!

Unfortunately the $3 IVC is only for the 12 packet boxes, which aren't part of the deal. There is a $2 IVC in the other Healthy Savings booklet, though. Not a mm but you do break even, free is good too.

How does Rite Aid work with the SCR's? Do you have to pay up front and then wait for a rebate?

I haven't found it yet. I'm going to make a run tonight.

I'm teaching my first coupon class tomorrow night and would like to pass out some of these books to help people get started. I'm so excited. I saved sample transactions from most of the stores around here to use as examples. I want them to guess how much I paid for each. The person who is the closest can pick something from the transaction.

Back to Wags, I also want to do the Nexxus Mousse deal. They're on sale this week 2/$5 and there's a $4 off IVC in the Healthy Savings Book which should price adjust from $8 off to $5 making two bottles free. If it doesn't adjust, I'm going to use baking goods as fillers. I've also got several RRs that are going to expire tomorrow.

Glad you're getting some tips! I love sharing my deals so other people can take advantage of them. Let me know if you need help figuring out any transactions.

Ah, crumb. Hubby had to buy me a box of Theraflu the other night and I thought it was a 12 ct box, but it wasn't. 6 ct.

I'll go delete that part of my post so I don't confuse anyone. Thanks for the info!

Where are you teaching a class?

I was just talking with DH about me starting something like that...

I have so much Theraful stockpiled. A couple weeks ago it was on sale for $4, if you bought 3 then you got $8 back. I had enough coupons that they were free, other people were getting them as a money maker deal with the $2 off coupon, but I didn't have that one yet.

Our Young Adult Ministry has an auxiliary under it called I Am My Sister's Keeper. They're having a sleepover tomorrow night and wanted me to teach couponing as part of the activities.

This all came about because another friend from church is constantly amazed at the deals I get and hounded me into teaching a class. I used to be on staff at YAM so I contacted one of the IAMSK's co presidents. She thought it was a great idea. The class was originally scheduled for a Saturday. Now that it's on a Friday night, the friend who talked me into this can't come. I told her I'd take her on a one on one shopping trip to make up for it.

You might want to start at your church. See who's interested and let it blossom from there.

A question about the Theraflu...Did you have to show your license to buy it? I would love to stock up on Mucinex because it's the only thing that works for me and is super expensive off season, but I really don't need the LAPD showing up on my doorstep questioning why I have so many boxes. Although, I could probably just invite them in for an impromptu coupon class and that would be that!!

When you say $18 shows on it, are you looking at your balance on their website? It's been a while since I've been there, but I know they track your spending. When you reach $50, they give you $.50 in ECBs back. If it's showing that you have $18 in ECBs available to use, but don't have them - they print on the bottom of your receipt - you should contact the company and let them know that you lost them. From all accounts I've heard, they're very customer friendly and will send you another copy.

I haven't had to show my ID for anything except the old school Sudofed.

I'll have to check around about teaching a coupon class, I'm sure I could do it at church.

I wonder if it's a locality thing. I get a Walgreen's circular in the mail every week and I never see deals like that in it. Same for Rite Aid. We don't have any of the supermarkets you guys have mentioned in my area either.
