In that case, djmaster, I need to talk with Kam Malone, Steve Hurst, and Claire Burgerene, who were all my vocal teachers, and ask them for a refund. If I were singing falsetto 90% of the time, you would hear my crossover quiet often, and my voice would sound like a kid going through voice changes. I use a trained technique called a "mix voice" which is a cross between my middle voice and my head voice. Am I David Phelps? NO. His natural voice is that high on it's own. But if you had any clue about what falsetto actually is, you would know that its a disconnect between the vocal cords, and when air is sent across them, it makes a slight sound that is thin, and airy. You can not push falsetto enough to make a strong note, or to sing full sets night after night.
If you are basing your thoughts on my performances at the NQC, then you must know that those videos were recorded during the time we had to park the bus around horse stables, and sell product in a exhibit hall that showcases farm animals throughout the year. I'm highly allergic to horses and hay, and by the time they shot the videos, my voice was gone. This happened every year.
But, I have a feeling I really don't owe you an explanation or rebuttal to your statement. I've worked all my life, training to get to where I am at today, vocally. Someone named djmaster will never take that away from me.

Thanks for explaining all of that, Jeremy, even though you really shouldn't have to "defend" yourself at all on these forums!

I still think you do as good of a job on "Look for me" as anybody and better then 95% of the people that do it.

Thanks for posting the videos of Jerry Redd---The video of the Rangers is not Redd singing Tenor though--Redd did sing with the Rangers but this video is another Jerry I think maybe Jerry Smith or something--may be wrong on his name--But anyway, Thanks again for posting videos

Jeremy, Unfortunately it seems as if there will quite often be someone who will come on here with the intention of trying to "knock down" some singer or group. We all have our personal favorites we like to listen to, myself included. But here's my opinion on all of them. If someone has been given the talent to sing and they make the choice to use that talent as God intended, to further the KINGDOM, then we need to support and especially pray for them. I really believe when we get to HEAVEN, God will have a special blessing for those who made the right choice on how to use their talent to be a blessing to others and see people saved. And as the Hinsons used to sing "Ain't that what it's all about. And I'll add one more thing. Not only singers but musicians as well.
May God Bless All of you. Keep on keeping on Till HE comes.
And don't worry about those who are trying to tear down what you are trying to do for GOD. Let HIM deal with those people.

Yes, I finally found it online--The funeral was yesterday in Eufaula, Ala.--Google Eufaula Tribune to read obit.--I had begun to wonder myself because I could not fine it either. I just talked with someone that used to sing with him and he said he was cremated. How about letting Singing News know about it---

I am a fan of Jeremy now more than when he was with the Kingsmen and he was great then. He sounds great. There are a few tenors that dont get the credit they deserve because they are not with a top name group. Jerermy deserves it. Also, has anyone heard Matt Felts? I have heard him do "Looking for a city" and hit a G above high C. He doesnt get mentioned enough.

My all time favorite are Johnny Cook and Curtis Elkins. I am still trying to locate the song by Curtis Elkins singing OH What a Savior...

Jay Parrack was always top notch, never heard him hit a bad note, and can really get up there, on top of all that a wonderful guy too.

Oh Man I have heard a lot hit the high note: Rick Strickland, Brian Free, Gary Shepard, Billy Hodges, David Sutton, David Phelps, Danny Funderburk, Phil Barker, Derrick Boyd, David Walker, Johnny Parrack, Gerald Wolfe sang tenor at one time with the Dumplin Valley boys, he also hit a high note when Legacy Five and Greater Vision did a video together the song was Winging my way back home. He started out singing bass then hit the high note at then end. He moved Jason out of the way at took it!!! It is on youtube!!! This are some of my personal favorites.

Ernie Phillips and Johnny Parrack are two of the best. Hear Lil' Ern yesterday at my church( even with subt\us problems) can still hit those high notes,

U go Jeremy!!! You are one of the best individuals in gospel music today. You are one of the young ones giving it your best. Heck, you were with the Kingsmen. IT doesn't get much better than that. You don't have to explain yourself. I know what it's like to deal with idiots!!!! You tell it brother like it is!!!!
